Historical five-star hotel in the centre of Brussels.

By Ellie Burnage, VeryChic correspondent
Brussels, often thought of as the bureaucratic and business centre of the EU, is often overshadowed as a city break destination by some of its more flamboyant and overtly entertaining European neighbours; but it has a distinctive class all of its own. As well as its world-class chocolate and beer, the vibrant Belgian capital offers beautiful parks, a wealth of museums and a unique merge of Francophone and Dutch cultures. Intrigued? And where better to enjoy this fascinating city than from the glamour of one of the city’s oldest hotels? The historical Hotel Métropole *****, which opened in 1894, transports you back to a more refined era of opulence for the perfect Belgian getaway.
